I had tried version 0.11.3 and 0.13.0, those were not working, finally tried 0.13.3 as suggested by @nutomic:matrix.org and now everything is working as expected
Ok so that’s half working as expected, my publication appears on Lemmy.ml but I can’t get Lemmy.ml content appear on my instance.
I checked:
- My nginx setup
- My server date and time
- The debug curl commands and they all work
What else could be wrong?
Hmm not sure. We were having a bug recently where lemmy.ml failed to send anything to other instances, but that should be fixed. @dessalines@lemmy.ml any idea?
I’m seeing this recently as well with my instance.
I’m gonna try restarting lemmy. Maybe its that activity scheduler again?
edit: it was. https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/1820
I can confirm, that did the trick
So I tried something else to see if the problem wasn’t coming from the package I used to install.
I installed using docker on a separate domain and subscribed to this community.
We’ll see if it’s better.
Well, no more luck there.
I literally copy pasted the commands, don’t know what else to try.
I really hope you guys can help me, I’m motivated to use lemmy but I want to use my own instance (as I do for mastodon, pixelfed and matrix by the way) but as you can imagine, it’s useless if federation does not work as I’m pretty much the only user on my instance.
Let me know if there are some tests or logs I need to provide.
I used the 0.13.3 tag for both lemmy and lemmy-ui by the way.
You could check the logs while an activity from another instance is incoming, and see if there is an error or anything. Unfortunately the logging is pretty bad for now, and i cant think of anything else to try.
If that doesnt help, wait for 0.14 which will be ready soon. That version will have a lot of things rewritten and better tested, so its possible that your issue will be fixed.
