The game in question being Hitman: Game of the Year Edition, which has content locked away behind an online connection. The community is not taking the news well:

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/remove_hitman_game_of_the_year_edition_from_catalog
The store page for the game currently features this lovely banner, a less than stellar user rating and a bunch of customers who are rightfully upset at the prospect.
Unfortunately, this has not been the first time this has occured. Absolver, Battletech, Cyberpunk 2077, X4, Dying Light and others listed here: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/drm_on_gog_list_of_singleplayer_games_with_drm/page1
All require some a form of DRM to unlock either cosmetics, multiplayer modes or extra content. As a person who uses GOG, it is a sad state of affairs that they would choose to have a wide catalog rather than sticking to their original promise of selling games without DRM.
Bookmarking this, thanks! I was aware of a few offenders, like AoW3 and Battletech with their Paradox account bullshit, but I am saddened to see that the list has since grown. At least Hitman is getting some pushback.
I am in agreement with you. I would rather see a smaller, fully DRM-free catalogue on GOG rather than whatever this half-assed nonsense is.
