Email services to use?

I’m trying to compartmentalize for different kind of work. Each seperate email for:

  • Gaming accounts
  • Personal - this is just a backup in case I really needed it to contact people, I rather not use email for comms.
  • Persistent Anon identity accounts
  • Work stuff
  • Peertube
  • activist stuff

Honestly I’d like to have an email for every service I use as a precaution. Since email has really weak (to none) encryption by default.

If there are good 5 different email providers I could use it would be great. I kind of prefer the likes of cock.li disroot or open-source ones.

I kind of don’t trust companies like protonmail or tutanota but list them out if they’re good.

I hope this sub would be useful in the future, cheers.

It sounds to me that one of of the following type of services would answer this requirement:

Thanks, though I prefer doing it with multiple domains/service. I’ll look into it.

Not a separate email provider, but a very nifty tool for compartmentalization. The free plan gives a lot of leeway compared to AnonAddy (no shade) but if you love it, give the paid plans a try! AFAIK they also have a student plan.

    https://ctemplar.com/

Recently implementing Autocrypt, CTemplar is pretty good too. Though it has yet to implement IMAP/POP3 servers so like Tutanota and ProtonMail, you can only use it through their web app/website. Not too long ago it also had issues with data loss, but since then they’ve taken precautions to ensure it never happens again.

SL is ironclad; open source, and with a good security practice and privacy policy. I’ll use this too.

Ctemplar seems pretty good, however I’ll investigate more into it, after searching around I think the server isn’t entirely open-source, I can’t tell for now.

      Thanks for sharing.

If you want no BSes, I heard https://lavabit.com/ stands the test of time even during governational pressures (unlike Proton I heard that went around).

Simply because they didn’t even had the information that they were seeking for.
