    Japan is getting caught in the middle of the US-China trade war. Japan’s largest trading partners are, in order, China, ASEAN and the US. The strong USD is leading to more expensive imports from the US and American policy on trade curbs is harming trade with China.

    I guess this is one way to ensure a bipolar world… Crush the EU (by knocking out the German economic powerhouse) then force Japan to go against their largest trading partner so their economy ends up in the gutter.
