    Y’know how Americans are always like “socialism is when no phone no food no cars”? We should start saying capitalism is when no trains no house no water

    Silly commies, working trains are socialism. You’ll feel extremely owned once the train network has rotted away completely and Americans start transporting all of their hazardous materials with swarms of self driving Teslas through their cities. 😎

      I read a comment on Reddit by someone working in the railway industry saying there are like five or more derailments every day in the US.

        I think our transpo secretary, trying to deflect from the East Palestine derailment, let slip there are around 1k derailments a year…

        And freight derailing isn’t bad enough. Some of these tracks are shared with our passenger rail service.

        Fixing this of course requires capital outlays which the big bourgeoisie seem allergic to.
