I would accuse Ron DeSantis of being an idiot, but alas he is something far worse. He is a perfectly intelligent person who is willing to use idiots to climb the ladder. If it means people stay in ignorance about the nation’s past because it hurts the adults’ feelings when it’s brought up that the US has a less than perfect past, so be it. If it means trans kids commit suicide because of the hostile atmosphere he fosters, so be it. It’s not about Ron DeSantis believing in something. All that matters is Ron DeSantis getting power. He’s one of the worst types of politicians.
