Despite these concerns, governments and the FAO have not taken decisive action to break ties with food corporations, often choosing voluntary measures over stricter ones, like taxing ultra-processed foods.

    What is the report hoping to achieve then? Big corporations have captured both the agricultural sector and the government to such an extent any recommendations they make cannot be performed without reigning them in.
