Actually, I’m running on a writer block caused by a lawsuit against abusive Twitter users. So I’m really thankful for any hint, how one could pass such a block. I already tried yoga, and it worked not this bad. Same with taking a long bath with calm music. But that didn’t break the block 🙁

I always enjoy sitting at the small river near my office and watching the ducklings trying to swim against the flow and perceive the splashing of the water as a welcome white noise.

I dont write but do other creative stuff. Imo the best way to get around such phases is to put yourself into new situations for (any kind of) input.

    • Go to a library (maybe in a different town) and read some books that you wouldn’t normally
    • Take a random train to a random town and just explore
    • Go to a weird little pub you never went to and talk to people (or just the bartender :D)
    • @yxzi@lemmy.ml’s dogsitting idea is nice. Just phone the next animal shelter and ask if you can walk a dog. (Try small ones first ;)
    • Visit a niche hobby or antique store

Thank you for your input :) I tried the dog sitting one, but I’m more the cat person. So I’ll go one day a week to a shelter and feed cats and play a bit with them.
Because of talking to people, you hit my Achilles tendon. 😆 I’m a bit more than just an introvert and have already fight anxieties when I take the train to my office.

PS: Creativity is creativity. No matter if you write, draw, crochet, or knit. 😊
