The US government seized the domains of numerous websites claiming they were engaged in "disinformation campaigns"... well they would know.

    I think they have only seized the domain names they have jurisdiction over. For example, presstv.ir is still up.

      Nonetheless, PressTV was not a .us domain before, so USA should not have power over .com or any other domains than .us suffix. PressTV was also not some kind of a trademark, and USA abused their powers over ICANN and the internet here, as they usually do in the name of world policing citizens from criticism of US foreign policy.
