Because it exposes what that thing is. It’s not a refuge for Jews. It’s a refuge for white supremacists that just happen to be Jews.

Said it once said it a million times: votes need to be public. It’s WAY too easy to brigade and vote manipulate.

Cool I gotta get a mod to show them so I can pre-emptively block the nazis before the start sending me harassing bullshit.

Because if you say something normal and rational then a bunch of nazis come by and completely clobber what you said, people aren’t just going to think for themselves and say “wait, this guy is right” they’re going to say “wow this comment has -990 score, must be wrong” Now the intended takeaway is the exact opposite of whatever point I made.

Because an instance’s community isn’t going to appreciate brigading, especially when it comes from other instances, and the instance’s mods would need this information to in order to manage such abuses.

my best good faith guess would be that it’s 10 years old, and absent more recent corroboration, it could plausibly be an isolated anecdote rather than an ongoing systemic policy

    Zero surprise.

If the West accuse China of doing something, you know they’re doing it themselves somewhere.

They learned it from the Americans (hint: we did it to Puerto Ricans, and probably other)
