My opinion: I think it is great that the iPhone will now have USB C and this will be a big plus for iPhone users.

Apple has spent years leaning on the sunk cost fallacy of “but then people will need to replace their cables and they will throw them away”. About time that get overridden and they start using the same connectors that everyone else does.
