    because its now pop culture. the same cesspool you tried to escape when you first wasted your youth on it.

    this is the new daytime TV. escape it and go outside.

    It wouldnt be so bad if only the internet was getting more boring. But its the same with movies, tv shows, games, music. Everything is getting much worse. Best you can do is find old media from 15+ years ago, its so much better than any of the trash they put out now.

        I think the fediverse can solve these problems, but it will take a long time to grow (unless facebook, google etc suddenly go bankrupt).
