How is this different then searx?
if I’m not mistaken I think all instances have a crawler which help building a community database, although I am not so sure. I am kind of friend with the developer and he said he’s going to come and answer questions here on lemmy.

although i think it just supports other infinity instances right now.
Wow i really love this idea of explicitly combining results from different instances at the user’s request. If i’m not mistaken that would also enable to easily build “meta” search engines so like a federation of small services like the tildeverse could have a search engine reusing results from all participating server’s own search engine?
