    Breath of fresh air to see a major US news outlet like The Atlantic saying this

      • They finish the article with “it would be a shame if the US didn’t learn along with them”, meaning they still hope that the imperial core can adapt its strategies to regain what they lost to China.

        So they must realize by now that demonizing China is not working. It’s not stopping the B&R (because contrary to radlib belief, the countries that take these loans are not stupid and they ask for several offers, including from the IMF), it’s not stopping anything really. So either they will adapt, or perish. I doubt however that capitalism can adapt in the tiny lapse of time it has left to overtake China – if that lapse of time even exists still (probably).

          Yeah, I think capitalism is basically in its throes of death right now. At this point there’s nothing that can reverse the trend in my opinion. The fact that Western journals are now openly admitting that their propaganda has failed shows that this is now undeniable.
