I’m not into growing or anything, but the idea of growing mushrooms in a pre-cooked rice bag just seems to be the perfect mix of genius and crafty. Guess growing the fruits would be next?
Yep, now they sit in these tubs for a week, and they’ll start to grow through the top (called “pinning”). Then you create whats called “fruiting conditions”… give them a little air and light, and mist them frequently, and they grow rapidly.

Sure thing! This guy’s videos are a great start. This is the main video for the first step of the process, inoculating the uncle bens bags with mushroom spores.
I also just stickied the main guide to this community, which is good to read if you want to get into it. This is my very first batch, so I’m completely new to this, but so far everything seems to be working.
