Shouldn’t the point be to de big tech yourself not just google. Not using facebook, twitter, amazon, microsoft, etc… It’s more like a open source and freedom software movement. Been seeing this around a lot.

While as others have pointed out de-macFang or some such might be a more complete message, what puts google at the top of lists includes: pervasive use of gmail, docs, fonts, ajax libraries, analytics, ads, captcha, search, voice, maps, translate, assistant, angular, compute, cloud, android, chromebook, seo best practices as well as the normal security state concessions.
Yeah, it’s hard to quit Google and seldomly completely impossible, so that’s why it makes sense to have a community around this.
