Ended up getting a S10E, hopefully it’ll be swell.
I’ve had LG’s but I’ll never get one again as they’ve had too many problems. My partner also has samsungs, but they’re overpriced for what they do IMO (and I’ve had an S2, and S4, didn’t like them too much).
The best phones I’ve had / used are Xiaomi’s , I currently have a redmi note 7 that’s really reliable, and really cheap, but they have newer models I think.
Ah I see, my current plan doesn’t really offer more than just LG and Samsung. I’ll take your word about LG phones.

I’d go with Samsung if those are your choices, I’ve used both and I’ve always ended with a broken LG, while my S4 is still kickin’ it and good battery. Any Samsung I’d assume is good, so go for their non S series or note series if available for price…if you want to do an OS change, look to see which is supported. LGs are also supported and perhaps better because less tracking and default unremovable apps, but they aren’t built as well.
Ended up getting a S10E, the reviews seemed pretty swell.
