      I see it being useful for people like me with bad eyesight that see better with more light, however, it having a loud ugly fan noise and being entirely DIY is more work than just pointing the desk lamp to the papers. I think I remember reading that higher exposure to sunlight is correlated to better vision outcomes but the mechanism isn’t entirely clear to me.

      Also, “dear god oh fuck I can’t see anything in this specific spot because I accidentally looked right at the lamp” seems like a thought that will come up often.

    Huh, I never thought about the connection to light and productivity. It would be cool to see a study of this because that is actually really interesting if productivity increases with more light.

    My mom has a light bulb that makes her room look like a bright summer afternoon. I like it sometimes, but most of the time, I don’t.

      In theory I like this but in practice I draw the blinds on the window to my workspace

        I feel like a summer day at the beach is ideal for bright sunlight, but when I’m home I like to be more cozy.
