See, I never really got this one. :face with tongue: At the very least, what’s wrong with tar --version? And what’s so hard about remembering tar czf foo.tgz bar baz qux? :face with tongue:

Tar has became much more usable with time.

In fact, by the time that comic was published, tar was already extremely more usable than its earned reputation implied. And it has only improved by now.
