Is there any way to migrate all posts and users from my community on that instance to my own? Maybe use users emails to recover their passwords or something like that
I dont think it makes sense to let a mod migrate users from their community, thats something each user needs to decide.
Migrating user accounts and communities should be possible, but it would take a long time until we get to that. Feel free to open an issue though.
I’m not migrating users, just user accounts. It’s up to users to decide if they want to use it. If the feature doesn’t exist I could probably do it manually
I think you should just ask the users to make an account on your instance manually. We cant really give out their email addresses because that would violate their privacy.
I think email hash would be enough. But it should be something like sha512 and probably with some kind of salt
Sorry but we are not going to do that. Just ask the users to sign up manually, or to send their email to you by private message.
