The existence of a class war doesn’t make religious/racial/ethnic conflict a red herring. Do military contractors make bank off of American military assistance to Israel? Of course. But Israel receives so much assistance because Christian Zionists (in both parties but recently to a far larger degree among Republicans) give them political cover and support to do so. Try saying Christian Zionist support of Israeli ethnonationalists is a red herring to literally ANY Palestinian. Dealing with these issues as the combination of class/religion/ethnicity that they are is necessary because you can’t just treat one and expect the others to go away.
