Most of the deadliest illnesses through history are from human contact with animals. The flu and chlamydia come from birds, anthrax from cows, smallpox from camels, mumps from either bats or pigs, etc.
People were predicting zoonotic pandemics for years, and we were screaming about it in mid 2020. I never thought we’d be so right so fast, but here we are.
