I think Microsoft support webpages do this to the back button. I can’t get back to my search page results by clicking the back button after clicking a link to a Microsoft support webpage. It always redirects me back. I either have to hold the back button down and select the search page from the drop down or double click the back button.
Why do they do that?
After getting stuck in some seriously stupid redirect loops when using Outlook, I assume Microsoft is just horribly incompetent
Pretty much every microsoft site does a massive number of redirects to get to the actual page, it’s ridiculous.
Just in time for Back History Month! (I’m sorry)
I like your style!
Pro tip: Long-clicking the Back button gives you a mini history to choose from. It works on the desktop and on mobile Firefox too, in the overflow menu’s Back button.
Not quite the same as this fix, but this knowledge has saved me from hunting through browsing history a few times.
Right click gives the same menu immediately!
Dear lord I can’t believe this is only now becoming a feature - those redirect spammers are the worst! What do you gain from making my life more difficult? I just close the tab and search again, this time with your website blacklisted.
Most of the time it is just some incompetent webdevs implements redirect in a bad way, but there are some websites abuse it maliciously.
