You are aware that Russia put pressure on Ukraine to reject the Political Association and free trade agreement, which hs already at that point in time, passed parliment nearly unamimously before the president at the time decided to go against the Parliment. Parliment went to vote out the President at the time and he asked for Russian aid. To say that Ukraine started it when a single rogue actor defied the will of its constituents is a bad take.
