I seem to be the only person that hated the 90s. Ugh. Now at least I got fast internet and hentai is not just sailor moon x dbz.
Fast internet is nice, but what if it wasn’t a corporatized nightmare overrun with money-chasing investor-backed start-ups and giant monocorps trying to monetize and exploit every single inch of it?
Anything change on the last bit? before it was dial up and mom kept complaining about its cost.

It was the mid ’70s. ’79 was the Volker shock; ’82 was Allentown; and by the late ’90s the US was already bipartisanly neoliberalized, WTO’d, and de-industrialized.
