Well, that’s not exactly what happened. The courts already started blocking it, and rather than admit failure, the budget office wanted to pretend that they were being proactive. Nice try, my dudes.

This will be the basis of US government for the next four years … just never ending rage, confusion, fear, and chaos.

Nothing will get done and the rich will just get richer.

    Well done America.

Have you ever seen republican responses to this stuff?

“Trumps done more than Biden has in 40 years”

“Trump has to raise prices before he can lower them!”

“Trump is for the people, he will make everything great”

" Eh…i dont really get into politics"

If that’s all that’s going to happen, then I’d say that is the best possible outcome ever!

Don’t forget the part where he gets bored again and just takes tons of vacations. Honestly, I look forward to that phase.

Pulled so the court case goes away. They don’t want official rulings on the limits of presidential power. Not a reason to celebrate.

The White House confirmed that OMB pulled the memo Wednesday in a two sentence notice sent to agencies and departments, but said that Trump’s underlying executive orders targeting federal spending in areas like diversity, equity and inclusion and climate change, remained in place.

They should still try to pursue the lawsuits on the basis of damage already caused, if for no other reason than clarity around presidential v congressional power.

I understand and agree with the general concept of a case being moot when the underlying situation has already been resolved, but sometimes I really wish there was a way for proceedings like this to continue so we actually get rulings.

        Sigh. Yeah.

I wanted to be silly and make a joke about justice blue balls. I even had typed up “Justice deferred is justice boner denied.” - which is a pretty good line, but fuck this is soul crushing. Too soul crushing for boner jokes, even.

Trust me, I don’t get it either. If you look at the numbers, more people didn’t vote than voted. Less than half of people that’re eligible to vote did so. From my conversations with people (coworkers, mainly) it’s simply because none of them cared to follow the news and didn’t know which candidates stood for what.

Clowns doing clown things and Americans suffering for it.

But hey, the majority of voting Americans voted for it, so FAFO.
