Very telling that supposedely NATO never encroached on Russia, but look at their friendly lake…

  • High quality of life

In Romania, over ⅓ of the population can’t afford to go vacationing, and circa ¼ is under the national poverty line.

This wasn’t the case before, and I hate how the media is able to state “yes the situation may be worse than before, but actually it is better because [insert delusion here],” and actually get away with it.

      • Honestly. In our schools we have this class called “Civics” or “Civic Education.”

It’s a weird amalgamation composed of the Political Education and Technical Drawing classes that used to exist prior to the 90s. They’re not at all related, but some genius decided to combine them.

Obviously, it’s shit, like most of the education system since the 90s. These two important subjects have been condensed into like 15 lessons in one singular school year.

Political education has been watered down from “so here’s how the government works, your rights and responsibilities as laid out by the Constitution, and how socialism came to be not just in Romania, but in other countries as well, in detail” to “gommunism bad and evil, capitalism more money less money same money, constitution very long contents not important, freeze peach very good yes quite.”

And technical drawing has been reduced from learning how to create complex plans to “please attempt to draw a floor plan of your home”
