I think I might just get a steamdeck. Which afaik allows you to emulate nintendo games as well…

Its not like Nintendo is gonna release a new and (good) F-Zero

Honestly with the way Nintendo currently designs games, I wouldn’t want them to make another mainline F-Zero game. Mainly because the two best F-Zero games (X and GX) run counter to their current trend of “you will have fun the way we say you will” game design.

Though it is pretty funny that the best F-Zero game wasn’t even made by Nintendo, it was made by Sega.

i have one of the older models of steamdeck and it emulates most switch games pretty well. the more recent ones can run a bit crap and certain games that run bad on the switch already (like animal crossing new horizons) also run bad on the steamdeck

so if u get a newer one it’d probably be as good as an actual switch lol. i highly recommend it. mine is only starting to show mild wear and tear now and ive been using it for 1-5 hours everyday for the last 3 years

The hardware of the new steamdeck revision is almost identical, I think it’s just a die shrink and oled screens generate a bit less heat. So generally the improvements would be in battery life, with some very situational performance improvements (basically anywhere clocks drop due to thermal throttling).
