Most of the videos I came across are just photos or otherwise very hastily prepared. Like, not even anything that appears to have taken some effort. There was one video that was a little more well produced and appeared to be a bit of a thirst trap? Seems suspicious as fuck. I disliked a couple and the algorithm got rid of the rest for me, but I’m curious if anyone else is seeing this.
I peeked in on one of the soldier threads, there were several people that asked him if he knew anything about Aaron Bushnell, who seems to be well liked, and he claimed not to.
What a joke.
Lot of bushnell love on 小红书
I don’t think Chinese people on that app are gonna fall for any of it. I think you can also report as either violent or political, they are very responsive on that app. I reported a pro Israel person and they were removed in literal minutes (like 5 minutes). It’s hugely disrespectful anyway for them to flood that app with that garbage anyway
I know that overall this is a good thing, but good god does it feel like 小红书 has been instantly enshitified. My Chinese mate has been complaining since yesterday. If you want a fucking Chinese name, learn some Chinese and pick one for fucks sake.
Sorry…
It does got me trying to learn Mandarin so I don’t pull an Ugly American. So far it’s canned phrases and emojis when saying I love stuff.
70/30
report em
As has been said before this service is either going to kick out westerners (either to their own siloed version based on geo-location and phone number location) because it’s letting in all these horrible reactionaries and propaganda that 1) annoys Chinese users 2) the great firewall exists to prevent -OR- the US will ban it within months, probably sooner than later given they at least had US defense contractor companies holding US Tiktok data whereas this stuff may be held somewhere in Asia or even China itself. It is even probable that the heights of the US propaganda apparatus have noticed this and are using an opening to carpet bomb propaganda on audiences they can’t usually reach with the plausible deniability of “just being regular Americans”.
Otherwise I’d definitely sign up.
I’d sign up anyways. I feel like the positive interactions happening are well worth seeing, regardless of what happens with the app in the future.
Loads. There’s also a bunch of cops
Gotta prime the pump for when they shoot an unarmed black kid in the back to flood social media with pictures and video of police dogs.
Like others here are saying, they do seem to take reports seriously, so on this app it seems like we could totally could report these accounts and have them removed.
Like people in full uniform? When I first signed up I saw a lot of those, but I just that it was a bunch of chuds cosplaying as military. I barely see them anymore though.
Idk about suspicious but boy have I seen a lot of troops and cops on there. Doesn’t feel psyoppy but I could be wrong. Lotta chinese military and cops too so who knows
I didn’t even know you could dislike on there, how do you do it
is there a guide to the UI somewhere, I couldn’t find one at first try
Press and hold the screen for more options. You can also report from the feed page. They respond to reports very quickly and usually take action too
ah bliat
