I know that Trump is not truely evil since he alienated the media oligrachy in the USA, but I still want to know what Trump is doing? The goal of the Pax Americana oligarch is avoid attention to their hypocrisy against their Neo-Liberal doctrine. According to the fake news that will only tell an obvious truth to gain trust to a lie, Trump is openly sanctioning one of the countries of free riding British diaspora and causing too much attention to the protectionist policies that the Frankish diaspora are enforcing to sustain their status as developed countries. I would really want to know whether Trump really plot to takeover all of North America or whether the Pax Americana media is making an exaggeration.

One explanation might be that the oligarchs in the US are starting to realize that the unipolar moment is over, and they’re not willing to go to war with Russia and China because that would lead to a nuclear holocaust. In that scenario, it would make sense for the US to start drawing lines around what they see as their sphere of influence. The mask can now come off and the vassals will be subjugated by force. My guess would be that his rhetoric is half serious, it’s unlikely that the US will invade Mexico for example. However, they will keep the threat open, while using means like economic coercion to try and get what they want. In case of Canada, it’s even easier to do since Canada is entirely dependent on the states economically. I can also see the US trying to make Greenland into a protectorate of some sort. It’s resource rich and strategically positioned, there’s fuck all that EU can do about it too. It seems like Greenland is also leaning towards the US politically already, so the US will just encourage that.

If I was a US Oligarch at the moment, I’d be short-selling the entire US economy like crazy while setting up a nest somewhere else.

As long as they have a way out, capitalists will toss the US under the bus just as easily as the US (under the control of capitalists) tosses others under the bus.

Oligarchs are already pulling their assets out. Zucc, Bezos, and Gates have all sold huge chunks of their shares in their own companies for example. However, it’s important to keep in mind that they don’t see the coming crash as a bad thing. The ones who see it coming see it as an opportunity. They’ll swoop in and buy up the assets that everyone else is forced to let go. Resources and tangible material assets are what has real value in the long run.

Take this with a grain of salt, much of it is my read of Trump as a person and what kind of stuff he has done or said so far, but: I tend to think a lot of what he says is not directly related to any sort of specific US imperialist strategy and is more just him talking. His shtick seems to be that he basically just improvises constantly; whatever comes out comes out, no matter how ridiculous it may sound. And as for his actions, I expect he goes along with the imperialist tack of the day to an extent because every US president has to or they’d probably get taken out of the picture by force, but he also seems to have a clear typical narcissist bully way of behaving, where he genuinely thinks he can strongarm people on stuff. And fair for him to believe that, considering the power he has held being rich and the power he has held being in political office in the US. But as narcissists tend to be, he is also a certain degree of arrogant and more blindly self-serving than strategic. So I would expect him to do whatever he thinks will personally enrich him without ruining him, but not really have personal interest in a shared comprehensive imperialist strategy. Musk seems to be of a similar (though not identical) bent, where he is rabidly self-interested and often mask off about it and doesn’t as much want to do the ruling class schemer thing where they carefully work together to screw everyone else. Or to put it another way, even if someone like that wanted to do it, they might find it hard to prioritize it over their own flailing ego-based interests.
