    I’ll never understand why humans find rudeness to be a likable trait while kindness is looked down on.

    Why people enjoy being mean for the sake of being mean?

      well it’s still against meta rules to be rude by insulting someone’s character or intelligence

      So you can call trans people ableist slurs and tell women to stay in the kitchen, but don’t you dare say that someone is a piece of shit for the actions they take

      If you can convince yourself that at least you’re better than a black guy/a transwoman/etc., that’s really all you need

      For fucking real.

      I get having a hard day but why be mean and throw it out on others? We all struggle, why make it fucking harder? Does it kill people to watch others smile? Being nice to others not only makes others happy, it makes me happy too. Is that not fucking normal for these weirdos or something?

      I just don’t get it.

      I would contend this isn’t a human trait, and like many things is probably downstream from Calvinist brainworms in some way; relating virtuousness/“divine favor” with the perceived position in a given social grouping etc.
