You just made me realize that the British Aristocracy never went anywhere. They are still around holding economic and political power through institutions like the House of Lords. Would you say that the Aristocracy are still a distinct class of their own? Are they joined with the Bourgeoise, contradicted and collaborating? Has the British Bourgeoise never won their freedom, only a compromise with the Aristocracy?
