The problem is that if they do this they can’t sell Space Marines & Sisters of Battle as two separate armies.
I would say sisters despite the intentions of their introduction to be sort of female space marines are very much distinct faction by now and would have no problem selling.
100%. I’m not an expert, but I didn’t know they were supposed to be the same faction at first when I looked at my friend explaining all the armies. Their Catholic aesthetic is so much more pronounced.
And unrelated, but also pretty cool looking. I think I’d definitely play Sisters of Battle if I ever got into WH40K
There are two ways they could go about adding FSM. The first is say “going through the process of becoming a space marine makes whoever did, regardless of AGAB, look like a big beefy manly man” and introduce no new models. The second is to release an upgrade sprue (estimated price: $30USD) with 20 femme-looking heads. Neither would cut into SoB sales.
