I’ve blown entire weekends with anxiety about Monday morning. Not every weekend, not even most, but enough.
Shift work in the bush hits a bit harder, usually because your next shift is only 4ish days away
The times when I only had to worry about field work were the best of times.
I was on a crew for a while that worked 8 (10hr) days on, 6 days off. I would choose that again in a heartbeat if I could. 2 day weekends barely give me time to get out of the work mindset
