I usually don’t post podcast episodes, but this one was really good. It sounds like we’re getting close to a solution for malaria, with multiple approaches finally reaching maturity. This disease is damaging to adults and often deadly to young children, with hundreds of thousands of deaths per year. Malaria is most prevalent on our poorest continent, Africa, so eradication will be a huge boon to some of the world’s poorest countries.
World powers owe it to affected regions to keep funding malaria eradication efforts. There is a debt to be paid from the days of colonialism and the trans-Atlantic slave trade, and this is one way.
