When the US gives aid, they build a road between the mines and the port.
When China gives aid, they build roads everywhere.
Westerners look at this and say that China is also doing imperialism. They are objectively and measurably the most propagandized people in the history of humanity.
For those that seek an African perspective on the matter:
“Chinese Imperialism threatens U.S. Imperialism”
I’d say it’s too soon to see if China will take an imperialist approach. The US and Europe seem to be decoupling from them, so they are in desperate need of well-developed markets that will buy their products. It’s in their own best interest that African nations develop quickly (which also hurts the US and Europe, making it harder to get cheap raw materials, thus doubly good for China).
And the entirety of Africa is framed as nothing but both of theirs pawn and playground… 🙄
