“military stocks”. How do we allow that concept to exist
Wait until you learn about publicly traded private prisons!
Aramark’s three-year, $145 million contract…
The state fined Aramark $200,000
That will teach them to stop serving human beings maggot-infested food!
Oh god Aramark runs prisons too? They couldn’t even run the restaurants on my college campus without committing human rights abuses, I’d imagine their prisons are basically what Americans imagine Soviet gulags to be like
Look up nutraloaf
Aramark is also the company that runs most of the school lunch programs in the US, they literally serve children here prison food!
It’s like when the parking ticket is cheaper than the price to park legally
The ex Minister for Defence in australia (chris pyne) now sits on the advisory board of like six defence contractors, many of which were awarded government contracts during his time as minister
I felt like i was going INSANE while it all played out happily in the media
Holders of any elected office, from President to Senator to county dog catcher, should be completely banned from owning any sort of stock, investment, or businesses.
You get to purchase US bonds. Thats it. In fact, you shouldn’t be allowed to own things once you’re done being in office either. If you’re ever found owning another kind of investment, 20 years in prison, no exceptions.
An elected official owning stocks or even worse, their own business, is pure corruption. It’s inherently corrupt, even if they are super well behaved about it.
Plus any communication with the executives of any business outside a televised hearing should carry the same penalties.
