    Hawai’i is not a part of the US, it’s a colony of them, I think it would be more appropriate if you posted this in the Hawai’i community for respect of the Hawaiian sovereignty activists.

      Good point. I’ve made a crosspost to !hawaii@lemmy.ml. Though I think it’s still appropriate here in the context of this is what the US did to not their land, similar to posts here about things like the war in Afghanistan.
