I read the text but still don’t get how they measured that people who say they love cinema didn’t go.

I’m a cinema lover. I also have tinnitus. That’s why I don’t go to the theater. Go spend extra money on IMAX – the screen and the colors are carefully calibrated. The sound WAS until someone making $12 an hour dicked around with it because somebody couldn’t hear the dialogue and now I get blown out of the movie theater.

    I digress.

I can’t see going to a theater for a movie ever again.

Live performance, sure, but I’ll watch movies at home.

Ever read a take so far-fetched, bad and goofy that you don’t know where to even begin a line of attack? I can’t even critique this since the “reasoning” he used to get there is so hilariously off-base. Like… Hey author! You won’t read this but you should fuggen hear it form someone!

Owen! You didn’t present the “problem” properly, or even fully define it. Then ya didn’t address the real players or conditions surrounding the problem. Then you didn’t come up with solutions or even come up with a definition of what a good movie should be.

Didn’t say why “the need for studios to cut costs is real”… (That one, presented without basis, really pissed me off). Ya finished this embarrasing writeup with…“audiences need to spend more money at the movies”.

    What?

I dearly wish hed actually see this and be properly embarrassed enough to never write anything ever again so humanity might grow.

Make movies I’m excited about seeing and have them in the theater for more than 12 seconds so I can actually schedule the trip and I’ll go. The theaters around me only post their times like 3-4 days in advance and by the time I see it the seating left is shit. I can’t plan around that. Also the last few movies I have gone to I’ve had people sitting around me that would not shut the fuck up. No one wants to listen to your stupid comments motherfuckers.
