Our instance has unchecked ‘Enable Downvotes’ which we believed would prevent downvoting.

As you can see, this is not the case. Is this setting federated? If not, why?

    Not really sure, instance settings aren’t federated, and that is more of a local instance setting. I suppose an instance with that setting could reject federated downvotes. @nutomic@lemmy.ml thoughts?

      Looks like i forgot to check this setting when downvotes are received from another instances (so users on other instances can still downvote). Its a bug, please open an issue @suspended@lemmy.ml.
