During the COVID-19-pandemic, the newspaper was criticized by the Amadeu Antonio Foundation for adopting right-wing populist talking points and misinformation about COVID-19. Liz Fekete criticized the newspaper in 2024 for uncritically adopting Israel’s talking points on the Middle East conflict, to the disadvantage of Palestinians, and spreading false information about the prevalence of antisemitism among immigrants.
