    I love this change in concept. I see that they are very confident that their other avenues of income to run the platform are sufficient for them, but It is hard to see how they can pull that off with their other avenues, which are mainly premium subscriptions which offer early-access features, and the tiny 5% cut they receive from creators’ donations.

      I have the same thoughts. I am curious what their plans and strategy will be to replace that income.

      Maybe their viewership will increase as Google Chrome Manifest v3 becomes more of a thing and they will become a competitive PITA – as a viewer I would definitely support and fund competition to keep the monopolies at bay.

      I wonder how many power blocks the market can sustain. I can definitely see room for a Player 3 as video streaming consumption increases kind of like when Video Games was just Nintendo and Sega and suddenly the market had room for PlayStation and later after Sega was beat Player 3 became Xbox.
