So, just wondering why the symbol for the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW), a union, was used for this sublemmy (sorry, don’t know what else to call it yet).

I mean, I’m supportive of the IWW and am a dues paying wobbly myself. I also support cooperatives and hope to one day be a cofounder and worker/resident at one.

However I’m not seeing a direct correlation between the IWW, a majority of whose members are not in a cooperative and cooperatives, a majority of which are not unionized with the IWW, if they are unionized in the first place.

I am a supporter of co-ops and also a Wobbly and was wondering this too but never bothered to ask - so thank you for doing so! A good question! I wonder what the rationale is?

I was too lazy to make something that looked good for a logo and most logos you find when you Google “cooperative logo” are garbage.

I chose iww because they have historical ties to anarcho syndicalism.

I don’t know because I am new to this community, but I assume it is a pretty good fit just because the IWW represents a pretty similar ideology. As I understand wobblies are usually anarchist and support worker democracy movements as opposed to other implementations of socialism.
