For those who think that muslims are all transphobic: I was at a pride event and bought a drink from a stand there, and the seller was a hijabi and she was very friendly to me who’s wearing a trans flag
the mistake that many people do is forget that all Muslim majority countries were or are still colonized, a large part of the bigotry in the regions comes from colonialism.
I think, in general, white people should just talk to mulsims more often. We have a lot of muslim members in our party and we are strong advocates of LGBTQ+ rights. I have an indoor football group with several muslim men as well as gay men. No problem at all. I have muslim coworkers who don’t care about our LGBTQ+ coworkers at all.
It’s like they are people with all kinds of different opinions.
