Jeez, overreact much? The last time Star Wars was good was 1999, this isn’t a new development. It’s had bad writing and bad acting for a very long time now and the “wokes” had nothing to do with it. George Lucas himself fucked it up. Every franchise has an expiration date and Star Wars has just been around for too long. It should have been left to die after the prequel trilogy was completed.

You’re telling me you didn’t like Episode II: Unstable Jedi Guy Commits Genocide to Impress Galaxy’s Most Annoying Senator and Stand-In For Lib Political Fantasies?"

It just wasn’t for me. I’m not gonna tell anyone they can’t enjoy it, i’m just saying let’s not act like everyone universally loved the franchise before Disney got a hold of it.

Yep, I remember when hating the prequels was pretty much the Required Thing online. Before that, Return of the Jedi (ewoks! second death star!) was the one everybody claimed was terrible. I honestly wouldn’t be suprised to see the Disney movies get rehabilitated in about ten years.

To be honest most of the fandom I’ve seen doesn’t really hate modern star wars. Rogue One is generally accepted to be good. Everyone hates the sequel trilogy of course, but several of the more recent shows have been pretty well received.

No, i’m not saying it was bad in '99, i’m saying that was the last time Star Wars was good. For me. Because the last Star Wars movie i enjoyed was Phantom Menace. This is all subjective of course. You’re free to disagree and i’m not gonna get mad at someone who enjoys every Star Wars movie or series ever made. I haven’t even seen most of the newer ones, i just lost interest. Similar thing happened with Marvel movies, the last one i saw was probably in 2005. My taste moved on.
