astroturf campaign here on hexbear dot netI assure you that people all screaming in unison “this car is shit lol” is not providing advertising of the vehicle to anyone. Its only selling point is as a status symbol but the clear status it gives to anyone that owns it is “lol this person is a fucking idiot”. This status completely cripples its sales potential and is driven by people posting about it and ridiculing it.
The last thing anyone trying to sell a status symbol wants is for the symbol it represents to be complete fucking idiocy.
