The instances list currently seems to be mostly lemmy instances with a couple of peertube sites like tilvids and framatube for some reason. I am confused as to why. The idea is to link lemmy instances, is it not? We don’t yet have federation with peertube yet do we?

You can search users from peertube apparently, though their posts don’t show up yet. For example if you search @thelinuxexperiment@tilvids.com in lemmy.ml his account shows up, but again no videos because that part hasn’t been worked out I guess.
Huh, you’re right. Interesting. Those must be the instances the devs are working with to get federation working.
Well maybe Lemmy does have federation with Peertunr to some extent be cause all is on the same base. To be confirmed.
On that note, we do have confirmed federation with mastadon, but I see no mastadon instances on that list.
