When I clicked the article, I expected MDMA, or cocaine, or LSD, but definitely not Ketamine. Never in my life have I heard of Ketamine being called a “Party drug”, and why would it be? It’s a tranquilizer and puts you to sleep. Who’s partying while they’re asleep?

Its all over the UKs nightclubs and has been since the 2010s

      https://youtu.be/DRfidJNts6U

Its used because its dissicioative, trippy and provides a week or so relief to depression.

It has some nasty side effects though, especially with prolonged use, personally i’ve done it once or twice but the risk profile is too high for it to be something anyone does with any amount of regularity.

It used to be used in afghanistan to treat gunshot wounds, it has the effect of dissociating you so hard you forget you’ve been shot.
