I’ve been wanting to move from Mixplorer to Ghost Commander for a while now, but whenever I move an image, then it stops showing on Aves (fdroid) and whenever I move an audio file then the same happens with vinyl.

This files are still on my device, and Vlc and Fossify gallery can still interact with them, but not Aves, nor Vinyl.

Does someone know how to fix this?

All I want to do is move to Ghost Commander, I don’t want to change my gallery or music app.

Is there any open source file manager not avalaible on Fdroid?

I’ve tried them all and Ghost files seems to be the one that can best fulfill my needs.

I have been using Material files for quite a while now and I really enjoy it. If I want “dual-pane mode” then I just use the “New window” button and split those two.

I have been having the same issue with Ghost commander. When coping a media file there should be some update if the android media indexing (I don’t know what it’s called) that doesn’t happen. Fir example material files does this correctly.

I think there should be some way to force android to do a media scan, I just don’t know how…

I’ve been using Mixplorer for years because is simply the best file manager on android, but I try just using open source.

But the reasons I’m finally moving is that it doesn’t update regularly and a couple days ago I find it making connections to google and telegram.

I downloaded it years ago from apkmirror and update it via the app itself. It has never made those connections before until last week. I think that maybe the connection it made to Google fonts was because days ago (maybe a month ago) I changed the language and it needs to connect to the Internet to do so. But I can’t find a reason to why it connected to telegram, which I don’t use.
