Yeah, yeah. Every election is “The most important election of our lives.” Last cycle the worse one won and still delivered on all sorts of material improvements to my life. My purchasing power is stronger than ever, there have been drastic reductions in carbon emissions, nonviolent de-escalation of conflicts in every corner of the globe, robust social programs to support immigrants, etc. It’s hard to see how my vote really matters when I know everything I want is still going to happen no matter who wins.
